Cairo - Arab Today
Egypt's Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab on Sunday said the government would not sell the university hospitals.
University hospitals will not be privatized, yet their upgrade is a must, the PM said during a meeting with deans of the faculties of medicine.
He added that the government aims to provide medical service at the university hospitals at a high level.
These hospitals should be used optimally and developed to provide the desired services to citizens, the PM stressed.
We know that the university hospitals also help in medical education, training, and scientific research, he said.
There are 88 university hospitals in Egypt that provide medical services to some 16 million people as well as their educational services.
